Closet Confection: The Little Dress That Could…

When the lovely folks over at SuperTrash invited me to pick my favorite piece to style according to my personality, I immediately gravitated towards the gorgeous, cobalt blue, silk Daimy dress. As soon as it arrived, I did what any self-respecting fashionista does when she acquires a new wardrobe addition…

I played DRESS-UP!

I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile this little dress turned out to be. Check out the pics below for the 4 different looks I was able to create.

dress1
For my first look, I decided to let the dress do the talking by playing up it’s bold hue with fun, colorful accessories.

The second time around, I tossed on a flirty leopard-print miniskirt. I really liked how the pop of blue peaking out below the skirt added an extra dose of color. I went with patent navy heels and a coordinating clutch to polish off the look.

They say the third time is the charm, so I piled on my favorite vintage necklaces to add a touch of bling to this casual ensemble. If you look closely, you’ll see there’s a miniature fortune cookie and a working whistle alongside my tassled pendant.

Since this is, after all, a style off… I couldn’t resist being a little cheeky with my last look. And yes, I was in fact a science geek back in high school… albeit a well-dressed one!

This color is absolutely gorgeous on you! I love the dress paired with a skirt, especially how you let the bottom hang lower than the skirt. It looks amazing as a vest, too!

Hey K! I loved the versatility you created with that dress.  The primary colored accessories in the first style are cool against the blue dress/vest/shirt/shrug.  I remember the science geek you’re referring to;) as well as the great style.
