While I certainly enjoyed my previous black & white ensemble, I decided to take things in a completely different direction for the weekend.  I sniped this cheery, colorful frock on eBay this past winter, and was so excited that I finally got a chance to wear it.   I’d normally pair a dress this length with sky-high heels, but I wanted a more relaxed, bohemian vibe so I slid into a pair of suede gladiator sandals and my trusty jean jacket that I’ve had for yeeeaaaarrrsss. I’ve actually been looking for a slightly more cropped replacement for a couple of months now, but I haven’t come across one that’s tickled my fancy.

That dress is phenomenal! I admit, I always get a little sad when I read that something that jumps off the page at me is vintage or one-of-a-kind because then selfish old me can’t partake in its glory. You seem to find a lot of great vintage dresses online–I may have to do more ebay searching.

I know the feeling all too well :-/ And you should DEFINITELY check out eBay. There are some great finds if you take the time to search.

I love this dress! So bright and colourful, it really puts you in a great mood just by looking at it….I can only imagine how good it must feel to actually wear it. Oh and I have a little bit of denim jacket envy, I can’t seem to be able to find the right one – this is a great example of what I’m looking for.

Good luck in your search! Sometimes the basics are the hardest things to find.

I love the dress and the jacket but more than anything I love the belt. I actually went back to your first photo when I was half-way past it because I wasn’t sure you were wearing a belt. It’s brilliant, in that it makes people do a double take. Love it!

OMG that dress is beautiful, I am so jealous.  I went shopping today and I was looking for brightly colored pieces but I saw a majority of neutrals in every store.
