Recently, a slew of bloggers were invited to join Lord & Taylor’s Fashion Director, Paula Correri and Lucky Style Contributor, Lori Bergamotto for an exclusive breakfast and shopping preview of Lord & Taylor’s contemporary fall must-haves.

After a quick run down of the season’s hottest trends (SHINE. COLOR-BLOCKING. COLORED JEANS.) and a few beauty tips (when all else fails, you can’t go wrong with bright lips and black winged eyeliner), we were each given a free gift card and encouraged to roam free before the store opened to the public.  After much consternation, I went with the above blouse and skirt combo.  I loved how versatile the two pieces were… plus they were on sale for additional 20% off!

Whenever I make a new purchase, I like to go home and see how they work with other items in my wardrobe.  So below is a sneak peak at a few of the combos I was able to come up with…

I’m sure I could have come up with even more combos, so these two items are definitely keepers and welcome additions to my closet!

I love the plaid skirt!! In fact, I believe it was featured on an episode of What Not To Wear last night! (Obviously, in the LAST half of the show, not the first half!)

Hi Kendra, what color did you get in the BCBGeneration blouse, Jasper or Sunrise?

    Thanks

    • ClosetConfections September 29, 2011 at 2:03 pm

That’s an excellent question! They look exactly same on the website. I’m going to go with Sunrise because the sales associate also mentioned they had the top in Jasper while I was waiting online. I hope that’s right!

Hi Kendra, thanks for responding.  I ended up ordering the blouse in Jasper, which looks quite similar to your top… but it could be lighting.  From what I understand it is the darker of the two colors… who knows.  I thought I was getting a more golden color but it is more citron green which is lovely too.

No problem it was my pleasure. I’m glad you like the Jasper.
