{Marc Jacobs Sundress thrifted via Buffalo Exchange, Charlotte Russe Espadrilles, Dooney & Bourke Cork Handbag, Gucci 3138/S Sunglasses via Saks Off 5th}
There are just so many things I love about this outfit. For starters, this dress was a major thrift store find. I had pined away for this Marc Jacobs dress when it first hit the stores, but I just couldn’t justify the $628 price tag. Luckily, my pocketbook and I didn’t have to brood for too long once I scooped up this bright and cheery frock for just $30! And speaking of pocketbooks…
I couldn’t be more thrilled with my new Dooney & Bourke handbag. To be quite honest, Dooney & Bourke isn’t a brand I’ve given much thought in at least the past 10 years or so. They were somewhat popular when I was in high school, but somewhere along the way they just fell off my radar. I think I got turned off by those weird pastel designs with logos plastered everywhere that they were doing for a while. In any case, they have some great new designs available now. And not only are they great quality, but they’re pretty affordable. For the best deal, I’d recommend buying in a store rather than online as I was able to scoop up my bag for under $100 via in-store promotions!
And finally, the thing I love most about this outfit is that it reminds me of one of my favorite Dr. Suess books of all time…
Not sure if that was intentional on the designer’s part, but I still think it’s pretty cool!
That’s fun….that the dress looks like the cover of the book! beautiful outfit all the way around!
LOL this outfit is totally “oh the places you will go” and so is this dress in and of itself! What a great thrift find. I love the fun pattern!
