Vacation is officially over and has been for over a week now. So it’s back to more work appropriate attire.
I started a new job last week (which I love so far, by the way), and I of course spent the night before obsessing over what I’d wear my first day… only to change my mind the next morning.
My nature is to be a bit reserved when thrown into new situations, so I thought wearing bright yellow would make me look more lively and approachable. It turns out that I didn’t need the color boost at all… all of my new co-workers are super-friendly and made me feel right at home!
The best part is that my new office is fairly casual, which means I get to have more fun with my weekday wardrobe. No more 3-page dress code from corporate!
Does your workplace have a strict dress code, or is it fairly laid back? What’s your favorite go-to outfit for work during the summer?
This dress is amazing. I’ve been so into yellow lately that I would love to have dress like this one. Oh, and that nail polish looks so pretty next to the yellow dress.

I tend to wear suits for court appearances, but we can get away with dresses and more casual skirts while in the office. Sadly, I don’t think I can get away with something this casual except on the one “jeans Friday” we get per month.
