Seeing me in jeans is a rare occurrence indeed, but every now and then I do get the urge to don a pair.  I’ve tried to put my trusty yellow pumps away for the season twice already only to keep digging them back out again.  If this keeps up, someone’s going to have to pry these things off of my cold, frost-bitten toes this winter!

This weekend was pretty laid back.  I had a bunch of items on my to-do list, but the only one I got around to was stopping by the C. Wonder store opening.

The place was jam-packed, but I managed to snag some free brownies, a new gold and tortoise-shell watch, and a magnificent yellow and green envelope clutch.  In case you’re wondering just what the heck C. Wonder is, I overheard one shopper describing it to her friends as “a mix of Tory (Burch), (Jonathan) Adler, and Lily (Pulitzer)”.  I have to agree that her description just about summed things up, and I would just add that the C. Wonder price-points are a lot more wallet-friendly.  For instance, my new clutch was $24, and the watch was $68 (a far cry from this $250 Michael Kors Chronograph I’ve been pining over for the past year).

Catch a sneak peak of my C. Wonder Experience after the jump!

All in all, the store was pretty much a preppy-meets-girly paradise chocked full of bright colors and shiny baubles.  Once the madness dies down a bit, I could definitely see myself heading back for a new dining set and perhaps a monogrammed sweater or blouse.

I highly recommend swinging by in a week or so. That should give it enough time for things to calm down for sure.

    Hi Kendra,
I’m an avid reader of your blog! One of my co-workers turned me on to it. I love this outfit and the store seems really cool. Do you know if they have on-line ordering available yet? I, too, have been eyeing that MK watch for a minute, but would LOVE to get one that looks just as great at a fraction of the cost! Thanks for being a style inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by, and tell your co-worker I said thanks! 🙂

I looked around, but it doesn’t look like they have online shopping available yet, which is a bummer.
