When: Saturday, September 4th, 2010
Where: IHOP in Queens
What: Cardigan (H&M), dress ($35 Banana Republic), shoes ($30 Cynthia Vincent for Target), necklace (vintage)
I woke up this morning in the mood for PANCAKES! It was all I could think about. So I slipped into this dress, hopped on the train likety-split and slid into the nearest IHOP. Sooooo good!
If this dress looks familiar, it’s because I have the exact same one in silver as seen here. I have a really bad habit of buying things in multiples…
Moving on to this month’s giveaway…
Like the necklace I’m wearing?
I got it on eBay, and it came as a set of two (told you I like buying things in multiples). Nonetheless, I don’t need two of the exact same necklace, so I’m giving the other one away!
This necklace is made from an actual working whistle and is beyond cool. I’ve even used it to hail a cab in New York City. To enter for a chance to win one of your own, all you have to do is:
- Be a follower of this blog on either Tumblr or BlogLovin’
- Leave a note in the comments section of this post describing your favorite piece of jewelry and why you love it so much. You can even leave a link to a picture of yourself wearing it if you have a blog of your own.
That’s it! Easy as 3.141592653589793238462643383279… Deadline for entry is September 30th, 2010.
My favorite necklace is a sterling silver four leaf clover! It was given to me from a friend as a Random Act of Kindness with some Trader Joes fruit leathers. We don’t have a TJ here so my friend was darling enough to go buy out her local TJ for me. When I opened the envelope I was shocked to see that she’s included a little something extra. I wear it at least once a week by itself or layered with another necklace. I think it’s become my good luck charm!
My favorite jewelry is my bangle bracelets from Mali. I love their simple shape and the color of the metal, they’re easy to dress up or down. I wear them all the time in the summer. (Love your dress, btw).
I love my diamond studs. They go with everything. I wear them all the time.
My favorite jewelry is here: http://stylefyles.tumblr.com/post/254950407/its-a-wrap
It’s actually two necklaces combined, which I picked up from buffalo exchange. The first necklace is one chain, with three circles and chain tassles hanging from the end, and the second necklace is a series of chains – all different lengths and different colors. I like how these two necklaces look when layered together, so I often wear them simultaneously.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a vintage Cameo ring I received from my Great-Grandmother. It’s so beautiful and delicate! I love wearing it often, as it’s a cherished item. The ring is completely hand-made, making it feel even more delicate and personal. I love it and will always keep it in my possession. <3
Love your blog and the new look!
My favorite piece of jewelry (other than my engagement / wedding ring) is a vintage brooch. I’ve worn it in my hair, on my blazer clustered with other brooches, on a black-tie dress – I love it!!!!!
My favorite piece of jewelry is the wedding ring my wife got me. 🙂
Hi Kendra
I never leave the house without a big, bold statement ring on my middle finger. These two are some of my all-time favorites: http://jetsetshopper.wordpress.com/2009/07/29/put-a-ring-or-two-on-it/
I love my big, bold middle-finger statement rings. Here they are: http://jetsetshopper.wordpress.com/2009/07/29/put-a-ring-or-two-on-it/
My favorite piece of jewelry is my sterling Tiffany ring. I usually don’t splurge on jewelry (most of mine is from H&M), but my BF and I were at Tiffany’s shopping for her wedding bands and she brow beat me into buying it (she’s an enabler). I wear it every day!
I absolutley love love your blog. I look at it daily 🙂 My favorite piece of jewerly (well I have two) are my wedding rings from my husband. Look at them everyday and smile! I also love this necklace I got years ago from my mom. It is a Tiffany sterling silver necklace but it has a heart charm on it. I bought my mom the same necklace for her birthday the same year so now we have matching necklaces!! I pretty much wear it everyday.
Love this blog! I follow on Google Reader, does that count? Either way, I’ll tell you about my absolute favorite piece of jewelry. It’s a white porcillan flowered necklace that I got from an antique shop somewhere in Iowa on a road trip to meet my (now) husbands’ parents for the very first time when we were dating. I kept hinting about how much I liked it, but he didn’t catch on so I bought the thing for myself. Hah! Anyway, I wear it all the time now. I even wore it on our wedding day even though I had bought a different necklace to wear that day. Last minute I switched it out!
Lately I’ve been finding myself drawn to lovely dainty peices of neckware. This fits the bill perfectly! I follow through blogger. Thanks for such a great giveaway!

My favorite piece of jewelry is a diamond heart necklace my Dad gave me for my high school graduation. It was the first set of diamonds I’d ever owned. My second is my engagement ring from the (then fiance’) my now boyfriend. Long story. And my third is a vintage diamond ring that I bought from a very good friend of mine after her divorce. It was her wedding ring and she loved it but wanted to get rid of it, but didn’t just want to sell it to a stranger so I bought it from her. It is the first set of diamonds that I ever bought myself.

I am a follower of this blog on BlogLovin’ . My favorite piece of jewelry is my mom’s wedding ring. I love it so much because she wore it for 25 years and then passed it to me when I got married (she got a bigger, blingier one). I wore it for 25 years until I got a new one. It’s small and simple and now I wear it on a chain around my neck.

Hey! I love your blog! I follow on Tumblr 😀 My favorite peice of jewelry is a ring I got in Topman (The guys section of Topshop) I bought it beause it was such a beautiful odd little find-it is literally a box with a hole in the middle and it is decorated with a picture of a fiarground on one side and a picture of a pin up girl on the other and a dock on the last side. The pitures make it look really vintage and classy and because of its shape its really unique and looks really quirky on a girl cause its obviously a guys item. It’s a real statement peice and it’s also quite handy-if Im ever going out when I know it’s going to be dark I wear it…self defense and all that jazz :’D I can’t really say I love all my wedding rings and engagments rings and all my heirlooms because Im only 15 and I don’t actually have any yet! Hahaha!
Whoa. Spelling fail:’D *fairground.
