There’s nothing like a huge dose of color to get me energized and ready for the weekend! I purchased this dress more than 4 years ago for less than $30, and it’s still going strong. Don’t you just love it when that happens?

Whenever I’m stumped on what to wear in the morning, I rely on a New York City classic: head-to-toe black. You really can’t go wrong. But to keep things from being too somber, I decided to mix textures (silk and tweed), slap on some bright red lipstick, and throw on a pair of kooky polka dot socks. Add dark sunglasses, and VOILA! Wardrobe crisis averted!

I fell in love with this skirt when I saw it in the store a while back, but I had a lot of trouble styling it. The first time I wore it, I paired it with a navy blue tee. Let’s just say that the resulting outfit was lackluster at best. So as you can imagine, I was over the moon when I recently spotted this matching scarf tucked away in a bin under one of the display tables. Talk about a match made in heaven!
