I love my other snake print dress from H&M so much that I purchased a similar one.  The material and neckline make this version a little more relaxed, but it still works great for the office or for dinner and drinks.  Since this dress makes a pretty bold statement on its own, I decided to streamline my accessories: just a pair of gold hoops, my favorite bangle bracelets (which helped me overcome my aversion to mixing metals last year), and a simple chunky ring.

At just $18 in the store, I couldn’t pass up this skirt… plus it has pockets!

I orginally thought I’d wear it with either a black turtleneck or a white blouse.  But then I realized I haven’t clashed done any pattern mixing in a while, so I went for my plaid flannel blouse (which is super warm and soft) to play up the green in my skirt.  Stay tuned for tomorrow’s outfit where I mix two kinds of spots (of the leopard and polka variety).

I was organizing my sock drawer (for fun… on a Saturday… ‘cuz I’m weird like that), when I unearthed these fishnet stockings.  This particular pair is double-layered, so there’s a solid sheer base with a fishnet overlay.  I love how they give the look of a bare leg, but with a bit more coverage and a dash of retro-sexy.  Now if only I could find a pair with a backseam, we’d be in business!

Since my hosiery had me feeling all ladylike, I decided to go full-on girly with a pink blazer and pink patent-leather maryjanes.  And presto! ladies and gentlemen, the perfect spring outfit… in January.
