The last two times that I wore this skirt, there was snow on the ground and the temps were well below freezing.  It’s such a fun piece, so I was super-excited to take it for a spin in warmer temps that called for bare legs and short sleeves.

Since I planned on having a hot night on the town with Eric, I decided that a flirty sheer top and sky-high heels were in order.  It’s nice to pull out all the stops every now and again, and I definitely felt like a million bucks that evening.

Dressing for work in the summer is always tricky.  This year, I’m relying on a slew of short sleeved frocks in light-weight fabrics to keep me cool and composed.  I’d probably wear something a bit more formal to a client meeting, but this was perfect for a casual day in the office followed by after hours cocktails and networking.

I’m also ecstatic about finally finding the perfect shade of nude heels for my skintone.  I grabbed these suckers on the clearance rack not too long ago, and they’ve been the perfect addition to my shoe wardrobe because they go with just about everything.

Maybe it’s because I secretly regret never learning to play a musical instrument while growing up, but I couldn’t resist this working harmonica necklace when I ran across it online.  After annoying the crap out of my husband when I first got it, I decided to take it for a spin at work today.  There’s nothing like breaking up the monotony of follow-up calls and TPS reports with a little blues-y harmonica action… at least that’s what I tried to convince my co-workers.

I wonder if they make tambourine necklaces…
