Well folks, I’m a third of the way through and feelin’ mighty fine indeed!
I bought this dress on eBay a while back when I was on my 80s vintage kick. The waistline is a little strange, so I slipped on this elastic belt to help hide it. As I was leaving the house, I realized that the belt had a silver buckle but all of my jewelry was gold. Rather than waste time searching for a different belt (because I’m always rushing for work in the morning), I just turned this puppy around backwards since I was wearing a blazer and no one would see it from the back anyway.
Is it just me, or are any of you weird about mixing metals? I used to be really OCD about it, but I’m getting better. In fact, my favorite pair of earrings are a mix of silver, gold, and pewter hoops. However, I still do things like wear my watch on my right hand if it’s gold (I normally wear my watches on the left)so that it doesn’t clash with my wedding bands.
Oh well, old habits die hard.

I don’t care about mixing metals, though I suppose if I think about it – I usually keep to gold or silver in one outfit. Usually, but not allllways.

I actually routinely mix silver and gold! I have even posted about it before…It works for me! Rules are made to be broken!!!

Your dress is so cute! As far as the mixed metals, I’m also pretty picky about that unless I’m wearing one of my couple of pieces of jewelry that have both silver and gold in them. Can’t count the number of times I’ve swapped out my earrings quickly when I realize I’m wearing a belt with a silver buckle…

Love that print. I’ve always mixed metals like they’re just another neutral but my sister was and is obsessive about matching hers.
I love the dress. I am weird when it comes to mixing metals. Trying to be more lax though. After all, in fashion there are no rules!
