Closet Confection: Three’s Company

black rugby sweater, snake print pencil skirt, black tights, black suede ankle boots

When: Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

Where: On my way to work

What: Sweater ($40 Rugby), skirt ($20 Express), tights (Hue), shoes (Vince Camuto via Loehmann’s), sunglasses ($40 Marc Jacobs via Nordstrom’s Rack)

The good news is that the temperature finally rose to a “balmy” 40 degrees here in NYC today…

The bad news is that instead of copious amounts of snow being dumped on us, we got ice.  Lots and lots of slippery, dangerous ice.  There’s was tons of it as soon as I stepped outside my apartment, and I felt like a little old lady as I teetered towards the bus stop and almost fell, not once, but twice!  Unfortunately, I didn’t get the memo that my office was closed until after I was halfway there.  Don’t you just hate when that happens?

In any case, I went back home, ordered in for lunch and actually had a pretty productive day catching up on emails and making phone calls.  On the bright side, I can wear this outfit again tomorrow since I immediately changed back into pjs, fuzzy slippers and a huge fluffy robe as soon as I got home.

I’m in St. Louis, Missouri and we received rain, sleet, ice and snow.
Glad you had a productive day.
Your outfit looks great, love the animal print skirt with the black blouse, tights and shoes.

To walk without sliping, there are some shoe anchors on QVC.com. You always look great.

It seems we have similar “domestic attire”. Except my BF threw out my fluffy robe a few months back in protest to its, ahem, ickiness. I still need a replacement!

Your style is amazing, and the photo before this — WOW!!! Love the outfit, scarf, and the all-white background. I’m a modern, all-white decor (cold some would say) girl!!! Lovely. Linking you up to my blog list.
