Closet Confection: Take Two!

black rugby cable sweater, vintage skirt, black lace tights, black suede nine west shoes, marc jacobs sunglasses

When: Originally worn Monday, January 17th, 2011

Where: Capsule Menswear Show

What: Sweater ($40 Rugby), skirt (The Kissing Tree Vintage), tights (Urban Outfitters), shoes (Nine West), belt (H&M), sunglasses (Marc Jacobs via Nordstrom’s Rack)

I was experiencing some severe technical difficulties with my camera the last time I wore this outfit.  But since I never was a quitter, I decided to recreate the outfit and try again.  The pics came out much better this time if I do say so myself.

Unfortunately, my sock drawer was a complete mess, leaving me unable to locate a pair of solid black tights.  This was unheard of since I stock up on black tights like most people stock up on…

Well, I have no idea what most people stock up on.  Toilet paper, maybe?  Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I have lots of solid black tights, so it was a huge annoyance that I couldn’t find a pair when I needed them.  So after I finished up my quick photo shoot, I ventured back inside to do this:

Ahhh… much better!  Now let’s just hope I can keep it this way.

You are an organizer extraordinaire! I also have tons of solid black tights and was bummed when I had to break out a pair of still packaged eergency tights. I guess that’s what they’re for.

Awesome bold pattern on the skirt. The kind I’d never dare to wear but really admire in others… 🙂

Yes, the pattern is totally what got me.

You are so tidy! I see that in me also: first I get frustrated I can’t find something, I tidy up, try to keep it that way, fail and repeat from start! You were great on the fashionbomb! Really like this outfit! It’s all in the details (golden buttons and the golden pattern on your skirt)!

Lol @ emergency tights! I usually keep a pair in my desk at work, and you just reminded me that I need to restock.

Your photos look great! That skirt is so beautiful and I like how you matched the pattern to the little buttons on your sweater.

Your organization of your tights is amazing!!! What are they sitting in within your drawer? I need some help with organizing my legwear. Cute outfit, as well!!

That’s a beautiful skirt and it really looks good on you. But now I have to go and organize my tights.
