Closet Confection: Out In the Street

I took these photos while having my favorite kind of Saturday.  We woke up late and set out for brunch at one of our favorite restaurants.  Then we just spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the city, browsing a few shops and galleries.  Since we were hanging out downtown, I tried to look the part in a tough (for me at least, ha!) leather jacket and sassy ankle boots.

Speaking of ankle boots, I bought these during the summer and have been patiently waiting for a chance to wear them.  Ankle boots can sometimes be tricky with skirt and dresses. But these are pretty sleek, and I like how the little dip in the front keeps my legs from looking stubby. I love them so much, that I may have to get another pair in black!
