Closet Confection: America’s Sweetheart

red peacoat, white bow blouse, leopard print skirt, black tights, ankle boots

When: Monday, February 14th, 2011

Where: Work + A Surprise Date w/ Hubby

What: Shirt (United Colors of Benetton), skirt (Zara), coat (Guess via Burlington Coat Factory), tights (Wolford), shoes (BCBG via Loehmann’s), sunglasses (Marc Jacobs via Nordstrom’s Rack)

I always love wearing red on Valentine’s Day.  And since I didn’t include any red garments in my 30 for 30 round-up, I just decided to throw one of my favorite winter coats for a splash of color.

I have a pretty hot date later on tonight, but it’s a complete mystery to me where we’re going.  As much as I love surprise outings, I always freak out over what I should wear.  I had Eric review my outfit last night to see if it was appropriate for our outing.  He gave me two thumbs up, so  think I’m all set.

I’m super excited to see what he has planned, and I have  a feeling I’m going to have a hard time concentrating at work today!

I love your skirt! Have you done any posts devoted to your hair lately? I really like the twist (?) that you have in the front.

    • ClosetConfections February 14, 2011 at 9:11 pm

I haven’t done any posts on my hair, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about. In this pic, I have a single french braid going across the front of my hair.

I went from having zero animal print in my wardrobe a year ago, to going completely gaga over it recently! Glad you enjoy it. 🙂
