If brunching were an Olympic sport, I’d win the gold medal for sure. And with so many delicous restaurants cropping up in NYC, getting in my peak performance training would be a breeze. While I definitely have my favorite haunts that I return to time and time again, I’m always on the lookout for someplace new to add to the rotation. I first got turned on to The Clocktower restaurant (tucked away neatly inside the New York Edition Hotel) earlier this year, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their creme-bruleed french toast is to die for, and the lobster salad is divine (it’s also super-light, so feel free to indulge in a side of fries while you’re at it).
While the food at The Clocktower is top-notch, it also doesn’t hurt that the decor and ambience are upscale, yet inviting. There’s an open billiard room and a sumptious bar. And even though the space is large (by NYC standards), it still feels cozy and intimate because its subdivided into separate dining rooms. I love bringing my gals here for brunch, or sneaking in with my husband for a quiet, romantic affair because it’s never over-crowded, and you can always snag a seat without a reservation.
So if you’re ever near Madison Square Park (and the line at Shake Shack is too daunting), consider dropping into The Clocktower restaurant for a bite!
