{Forever 21 Dress + Blazer (there’s also a coordinating dress & skirt!), Zara Heels (similar),  Prada Baroque Sunglasses (similar)}

I spotted this jacket on my recent trip to Chicago and couldn’t get it out of my head.  It’s extremely good quality for a Forever 21 purchase, and it also has the cutest matching skirt and dress in the same pattern!  I definitely feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck (i.e., I’ve worn this jacket thrice already since I got it).  So, in answer to all of your burning questions regarding this gem of a find:

  1. Yes, I also have it in red!
  2. Yes, I do have the matching dress (but only in 1 color… I do occasionally practice restraint)!
  3. No, I do not have the matching skirt (again… restraint people)!
  4. Yes, I recognize my overuse of exclamation points in this post, but I’m really excited! Like really excited!

{Zara Dress (sold out online, but on sale in stores in a variety of colors!) & Blazer, Prada Baroque Sunglasses (wallet-friendly version last seen here), Amrita Singh ‘Aztec’ Earrings via HauteLook, Miu Miu Heels}

Summer dressing for the office is always a bit of a challenge, but I think I’ve come up with a solution: these amazing blazer/cardigan contraptions.  They’re a bit more polished and structured than a regular cardigan, but they’re still lightweight enough to fold up and toss into my bag as I’m dashing from meeting to meeting.  I loved the white one I scooped up at Zara a few weeks ago so much that I recently went back and scored this snazzy red and zebra-print version.  They’re great because I can just toss them on over a sleeveless dress when I need to be covered up, and they’re not too bulky to carry around with me.

What about you other office dwellers?  Any tips on how you’re staying cool in this sweltering heat while still keeping it professional?
