Closet Confections: Beware of the Boys

I enjoyed this outfit so much that I wore it two days in a row!  The first time around, I just wore the skirt and top for a quick evening meal with Eric at Rockefeller Center.  The second time around, I was in a major rush to get ready so I just grabbed the same outfit from the day before.  As I was scrambling around for a scarf, I spotted my much-neglected tie collection and couldn’t resist adding one to my ensemble.  Since I already looked like I was heading off to class, I figured I might as well go all out and add my navy crested blazer.

I had a lazy weekend (my favorite kind!) and wore this outfit for a relaxing brunch on Sunday (complete with blueberry pancakes!).  It was still kind of yucky out, so I threw on my warmest coat (featured in my recent video) and a pair of sleek rainboots.  Easy-peasy, lemon squeezy!

Sadly, my friends, the weather has taken a turn for the worse around these parts, and I am SO. OVER. IT.  To help beat the chill, I had to bring out the big guns: my quilted Sperry boots.  They’re lined in fleece, which makes them pretty toasty.  But most importantly, they’re waterproof (a definite upgrade from my Uggs, which I’m a little not embarrassed to admit I own and still wear from time-to-time).

And what about you gals living in colder climates?  How are you staying warm this winter?
