{Nine West Blazer, Old Navy Dress, Hue Tights, Zara Boots, Lenora Dame Necklace via HauteLook}

This outfit was entirely planned around my new necklace. I was so excited to receive it in the mail the day before that I couldn’t wait to wear it the first chance I got! I love how from a distance it just looks like a simple beaded choker. But once you get up close, you can see it’s kooky without being over-the-top. I always look for little details like this to add a little flair to my workplace attire.

The last time I wore this dress on the blog, I thought it looked a little pilgrim-y. So this time, I added a tweed blazer to help calm down the colonist vibe.

After being on the waiting list forever, we finally got a storage space in the basement of our apartment building!

Sorry if that was anti-climactic for some of you folks, but I couldn’t be more thrilled.  Anyone who’s familiar with NYC real estate knows that storage space comes at a high-premium, so I consider myself super-lucky.

I spent the better part of last weekend carefully placing my shoes into boxes, neatly arranging books and dvds, and deftly packing my out-of-season garments.  Redecorating my apartment has been on my short-list of priorities for a while now, but I first needed to clear out all of the clutter to get a handle on the situation.  With the yucky part out of the way, I can now move on to the fun stuff!
