Oh beautiful dress… How do I love thee, let me count the ways:

3. You’re made of 100% silk and feel so lovely against my skin
4. You have hidden pockets, which I adore

and lastly…

5. You make me feel oh so chic whenever I wear you with my peep-toe booties. And to think, I thought I couldn’t pull them off at first. That was until I found you.

Closet Confection: Eye of the Tiger

When: Friday, May 14th

Where: An Off-Broadway show + Ethiopian food

What: Dress ($40 Zac Posen for Target), belt (H&M), ankle boots ($40 Vince Camuto via Century21)

Ever since I braved the Zac Posen for Target Party I couldn’t wait to unleash this dress. I usually consider myself more of a lioness, but I thought this pink tiger print was way too cute to pass up. I originally styled it with the belt that came with it (in the same print) and a pair of black patent pumps. But then I decided to edge it up a bit with black ankle boots and black belt. And boy did my feet thank me later after we walked 4 avenues to get to the theater!

The play we saw, Killing Women, was a comedy about female assasins trying to climb the “corporate” ladder and the perils they face. Some of the acting was a bit off (but got better in the second act), but overall I thought it was pretty hilarious. I’d recommend checking it out, especially if you can score discount tix.

Closet Confection: How Could I Forget (1)

When: Sunday, May 2nd

Where: Window-shopping in Soho + dinner at Balthazar

What: Dress ($20 H&M), sandals ($20 Michael Kors via eBay), glasses ($40 Dolce & Gabana via Loehmann’s)

Yeah, so I’m posting this outfit way late. The funny thing is, I love this dress and was so excited when it finally got warm enough to wear it. So excited in fact, that I forgot to post it!

Anyway, it was a scorching 87 degrees that day. But I felt so breezy and comfortable in this dress. I got soooo many compliments that day that I really felt like a million bucks.

Fast-forward a week and a half later and the temperature has barely reached 60 the last few days. Bummer… I WANT MY SPRING BACK!
