When: Saturday, September 4th, 2010

Where: IHOP in Queens

What: Cardigan (H&M), dress ($35 Banana Republic), shoes ($30 Cynthia Vincent for Target), necklace (vintage)

I woke up this morning in the mood for PANCAKES!  It was all I could think about.  So I slipped into this dress, hopped on the train likety-split and slid into the nearest IHOP.  Sooooo good!

If this dress looks familiar, it’s because I have the exact same one in silver as seen here.  I have a really bad habit of buying things in multiples…

Moving on to this month’s giveaway…

Like the necklace I’m wearing?

I got it on eBay, and it came as a set of two (told you I like buying things in multiples). Nonetheless, I don’t need two of the exact same necklace, so I’m giving the other one away!

When: Sunday, August 29th, 2010

Where: Brunch @ Melba’s

What: Dress (Vintage & thrfited via Buffalo Exchange), handbag ($10 H&M), bracelet & earrings (H&M), shoes (Payless)

Folks, what you see here is a woman on a mission…  I am absolutely determined to squeeze in all of my summer finery before the season ends!

Luckily, the weather’s been cooperating nicely.  This was the perfect outfit to slip into on a hot, steamy summer afternoon.  Floaty and lightweight, with just the right touch of sweetness, I felt like I should be sitting on a porch somewhere sipping lemonade and fanning myself.  Since there aren’t many porches in Manhattan, I made due with a mimosa and air conditioning in one of my favorite soul food restaurants… mmm mmm good!

When: Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Where: Here and There

What: Maxi dress ($35 Liberty of London for Target), sandals ($40 Sam Edelman via DSW)

When I originally purchased this dress, I envisioned myself wearing it to a daytime summer wedding.  Unfortunately, the one wedding that I went to this season was at night, and I wound up wearing an olive satin dress instead (at least it still had a big ruffle).

With the summer rapidly winding to a close, I decided I didn’t need a special occasion to wear this dress… a late brunch and window-shopping along Madison Avenue worked just fine!
