They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth a thousand pictures. So in that spirit, I’d like to present a video review of Jewelmint.com. Unfortunately, the Lioness Bracelet featured in this video is currently sold out, but if you sign up for updates, Jewelmint will alert you when it’s back in stock.
I was pretty ecstatic when the folks over at GLOSSYBOX asked me to preview a sample box for their US launch. You can check out my latest video to get the full review, but I can tell you now that I absolutely love it. I currently subscribe to Birchbox, but I find GLOSSYBOX to be much better. The sample sizes are larger, and the quality and selection is much better, in my opinion. Although I will give Birchbox bonus points for only costing $10/month compared to $20/month for Glossybox.
Here’s a breakdown of the samples that were included in my box:
BASQ Cucumber Tea Eye Gel
OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips Nail Polish
C.O. Bigelow Lavender & Peppermint Body Lotion
Cargo EyeBronzer
Erno Laszlo Hollywood Collection Skin Cream
Kryolan High Floss Brilliant Lip Shine (Toffee)
I was particularly excited about the first 3 items as they were all things that I’d use regularly and came in full sizes. The other downside is that there’s currently a waiting list for the US boxes, but I will definitely keep you guys up-to-date on when it’s finally available, or you can check out http://glossybox.com to sign up for email alerts.
This week, I embarked on my first assignment for the Jane by Design Style Challenge: I was given a $50 Visa gift card and challenged to go on a creative and inspiring shopping spree. Who knew how hard it would be to spend someone else’s money? Through a little bit of creativity (sprinkled in with a dose of sheer luck), I think I put my $50 to great use ( actually $48.06 to be exact). Check out my video below to see what I came up with.
As I mentioned before, you guys can join in the fun by uploading a quick video of your own recent shopping finds to the Jane By Design Facebook Page (and be sure to mention Closet Confections sent you!). And one last thing: If I win the style challenge, I get to pick one of my lucky readers (that means you!) to be featured as “Trendsetter of the Week” on abcfamily.com.
