While I definitely enjoyed my vacation, it felt so good to be back in the city.  As soon as I got back home, the first thing I did was put on all black before hopping onto a subway to hang out in Soho.  It was one of those rare times when we pretty much had the entire train car to ourselves, so I entertained myself with an impromptu photo shoot.

We were so busy having fun our last day in Chicago, that I didn’t get a chance to snap any proper outfit photos.  Now that, my friends, is the sign of a good vacation!  On this particular day, we swung by the Millennium Park to play around at the Cloud Gate (which I will stubbornly continue to refer to as The Bean),

In case you’re wondering who that dapper young gent is in the first photo, that’s my husband, Eric.  It’s been a while since he made his last appearance on the blog, so I thought it would be nice for him to pop in again.

Keep scrolling for a few last pics from our little excursion.

While it was great seeing  my family in Detroit, Eric and I were grateful for a little alone time.  So after our reunion, we packed our bags and boarded a midnight train to Chi-Town!  Technically, it was the 6:18pm train, but who’s counting?

We arrived at the James Hotel late in the evening and headed straight to bed.  The next day, we set out for a late brunch, a visit to the Roy Lichtenstein exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago, and a little shopping along Oak Street and Michigan Avenue.  Below are some pics we took along the way.
