After acquiring a sewing machine last Christmas, I finally mustered up the resolve to actually make something. Well, that’s not entirely true. I attempted to make a skirt from a store-bought pattern last month, but I wound up cutting the material only half as wide as I was supposed to (long story, I’ll spare myself the embarrassment you the details). BEST DECISION EVER!
As someone who’d never used a sewing machine before, I’m pretty pleased with the results. I felt so crafty afterwards that I used some of my leftover scraps to make this bracelet (I just wrapped the fabric around a plain plastic bangle and secured the ends with a knot on the inside). I then started to make matching legwarmers and a bandana, but Eric told me to go to bed because I was obviously delirious with exhaustion…
