No, that’s not a typo…
My husband and I did in fact go out for linner yesterday.
What? You’ve never heard of linner? Well, let me school you.
Linner is what happens when you stay up way too late the night before and sleep in so late the next day that you miss brunch. By the time you do roll out of bed (usually around 2pm), you’re starving and can’t wait until dinnertime. That’s linner, the meal you eat around 4 or 5pm.
In other news, this is my first official outfit of the 30 for 30 challenge!
You would think having such a limited selection of clothing to choose from would make getting dressed a lot easier.
Oh, how I wish that were the case!
Now, I just find myself fixating on accessories. And holy mackerel do I have a bunch!
To make matters worse, the weather keeps getting colder and colder, which means hats, gloves and scarves now enter into the equation. It’s enough to make a girl dizzy.
As you can see, I decided to try over-the-knee socks for the first time. I’ve never tried them before because I have thick thighs, but I’d seen some people wear them over dark tights and thought I’d give it go.
I liked the look, but I had a hard time keeping from rolling down my leg. Rather than walk around looking like Thelma Harper, I had to stop and readjust them every two seconds.
I finally figured out that for my body type, I need to stick to socks that are just at or below the knee. Otherwise, I’m just asking for trouble.
What do you guys think about the OTK socks trend? Have you tried it yet, and if not, do you plan to?
