The temps have finally started to cool down in NYC, and I’m loving it. The mornings are crisp enough for cardigan or light jacket, and the afternoons are absolute bliss with temps in the low 70s or high 60s. So while I wait to break out my boots and sweaters, I’m enjoying this time with great transitional pieces like this long-sleeve maxi dress that I picked up over the summer. I recently wore it to a weekend jaunt to Parker & Quinn for drinks and an early dinner after an afternoon of power shopping.

Work Hard // Play Hard

Last week was a whirlwind, and I’m slowly easing my way back into a normal routine…

After weeks of purging my closet and packing up the things I hold near and dear… my husband and I moved to a new apartment in the city last Monday. Before I’d even had a chance to catch my breath after the movers left, I was showered and primped and off to catch behind-the-scenes action of the Vivienne Tam fashion show (more on that coming soon).

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday were each accompanied by major speaking gigs. And to top it all off, I had to complete my quarterly business taxes by the stroke of midnight on Thursday (ahhh… the joys of being a busy entrepreneur!)… and did I mention there was mounds of unpacking and furniture arranging to do in the midst of all this activity?!

In any case, I’m not complaining (because frankly, I’m way too tired for all of that), but a gal does need to take some time to relax and recharge. That’s why I look forward to sneaking away to The Red Door by Elizabeth Arden for a much needed Swedish massage. Fun & Flirty Floral Chiffon Babydoll Dress

Some of you may recall this floral chiffon babydoll dress from my Snapchat fitting room shenanigans (remind me to do that again… it was kinda fun). Not gonna lie, I was instantly drawn to it because it reminded me of an old comfy nightgown. There aren’t too many times in life when you can get away with wearing a nightgown outside of the home (save for hospitals, hotel rooms, and pajama jammy jams), so I of course jumped at the opportunity.

I’ve been a fan of Ralph Lauren for years (perhaps even shedding a tear or two during the demise of Rugby), but I’ve only recently taken a shine to the Denim & Supply Label. I have to save, I’ve become a fan, and I’m really digging their ultra-feminine take on 90s-grunge style (think floral babydoll dresses and plaid maxis). Below are a few goodies I’ve got my eye on for fall…
