Closet Confection: Gimme a Break

closet confection outfit of the day: gimme a break

closet confection outfit of the day: gimme a break

When: Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Where: Work

What: Cardigan ($40 Tommy Hilfiger clearance sale), dress (Forever21), shoes ($20 Michael Kors via eBay), handbag ($88 Botkier via Gilt Groupe)

I’m currently on Day 4 of a much needed two and a half week vacation. Above are some quick pics I snapped as I danced out of the office last Thursday.  I guess you can call this my bon voyage outfit, as you won’t be seeing any office attire from me until after the holiday.

It’s been over a year since my last real vacation, and I was way overdue for a break. So far, it’s been great to just relax and sleep in late.  I’m also gearing up for a nice 5 day trip to San Francisco. I’ve never been before, so I’m really excited. Although, from what I hear about the weather, I’m pretty perplexed as to what I should pack.

No worries though, since I have the whole week to figure it out!

When: Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Where: Work + Lunch Date w/ Hubby

What: Dress ($35 Banana Republic clearance sale), necklace (H&M), bracelet (Forever21), shoes ($30 Michael Kors via eBay), handbag ($88 Botkier via Gilt Groupe)

Here are a few quick pics of me sneaking a weasel date with my husband during lunch. We like to do this from time to time since we work so close to one another.  I usually wear more conservative pumps with this dress, but I decided to step it up a notch for my hot date.

Because of its somewhat drab color (pale grey), it’s easy for this dress to look washed out and boring.  So, I tossed on some dark chunky jewelry to provide contrast.  For next time, I’m thinking a big coral necklace and cocktail ring would be perfection.
