For any of my readers in the NYC area looking for something to do during their lunch break this Thursday…
I can vouch from previous experience that Lord & Taylor knows how to throw a good makeup event. Hope some of you can make it!
For any of my readers in the NYC area looking for something to do during their lunch break this Thursday…
I can vouch from previous experience that Lord & Taylor knows how to throw a good makeup event. Hope some of you can make it!
When: Sunday, September 12th, 2010
Where: Chictopia 10 The Media Tech Summit
What: Dress ($35 H&M), turtleneck ($12 H&M), boots (Vince Camuto), handbag (Kenneth Cole), ring (Forever 21), bracelets (Lyric Culture via HauteLook)
Ahhh… Chictopia10… I came. I saw. I twittered.
I learned so much at this conference and made so many great connections! I seriously twittered my little heart out during this event, which was a rather interesting experience. I learned that it’s a little tough to pay attention to what the speaker is saying and tweet at the same time. Consequently, I found myself reading other folks’ tweets to catch up on what I missed. Crazy right!? “The mind boggles…” (a direct quote from Kelly Bundy for all you Married With Children fans).
To recap the event, I’ll just leave you with a few of my Twitter highlights:

I had a funtastic time this past week attending fashion-bloggy type events! I’ve been learning so much and connecting with so many great people, and I’m just really excited to take this blog to the next level for all of my readers. My head is swimming with all of the ideas and possibilities. So thanks to everyone who’s stuck with Closet Confections this far… THINGS ARE ONLY GOING TO GET BETTER!
Now on to my outfit…
Just like last time, I had a minor spaz-attack when trying to select an outfit for this event. Luckily, this dress had just come in the mail. It was a lot shorter than I was expecting, so wearing it to work was out of the question (unless I wear it tucked into a skirt… hmmmm…). But I thought it would be perfect for a night out with the girls.
Speaking of the girls…
Don’t they all look amazing?! Trust me, they’re even more fun in person. Thanks so much to From Skirts to Skillets for organizing such a great event. Special shout out to A Sequin Dress at Breakfast and Le Kiss Kiss for letting me steal some photos (my husband had the camera during my photo shoot earlier in the day, and I forgot to get it back from him). And it was also great hanging out with Spicy Candy DC and Much to My Delight. These ladies all rock, so be sure to check out their blogs.
If you’re in the photo, and I forgot to link your blog just shoot me an email.
Also, don’t miss out on this month’s vintage necklace giveaway!
