As much as I love warm weather, fall is truly the most wonderful time of the year fashion-wise.  I picked up this tweed dress not too long ago, and I love how I can dress it up for work with heels and tights or go completely casual for the weekend with a canvas jacket and ankle boots.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have caught me wearing this dress during my recent business trip to San Francisco (sidenote: I have yet to be able to recreate that hairdo in NYC’s humid climate… le sigh…).  The dress was a random find, but it’s quickly become one of my go-to statement pieces when I want to look “professional-yet-fun”.

After my recent trip to H&M, I walked away with these darling slacks and a coordinating top.  I’m feeling oh-so-trendy in this outfit since it combines not one or two, but three of this season’s hottest sellers:

  1. Oxblood
  2. Peplum
  3. Baroque
For the most part, I sit by the sidelines as new trends come and go each season.  But this outfit had me at hello, and I think the individual pieces have definite staying power.  What about you guys?  Have you succumbed to any current trends as of late?
