Closet confection outfit of the day: change of Plans

When: Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

Where: Hangin’ out in Brooklyn (again)

What: Dress (Forever21), jacket (H&M), shoes (Strawberry)

Originally I had the day all planned out.  I was going to wake up, make some breakfast (pancakes and bacon, YUM!), head to the Hester Street Fair, and later on use my free tickets for the Beast Speedboat Thrill Ride.

Unfortunately, I didn’t wake up until noon (nixing breakfast), and the weather was extremely crappy (ruling out the street fair and most certainly a boat ride).

Instead, I finally dragged myself out of the house at 2pm and headed out to Brooklyn for the second time this weekend to return this truly awful skirt I purchased from Target a while back (not sure what I was thinking) and to chow down on some truly delicious BBQ from The Smoke Joint.  If you’re ever in the neighborhood, you should definitely check it out and try the Black Angus hotdog topped with pulled pork.  YUM-O!

P.S.
It’s Tumblr Tuesday… So if you like what you see on ClosetConfections, help spread the word and recommend me in the Fashion Directory!

Where: Work

What: Dress ($28 Forever21), pumps ($40 Guess via Filiene’s Basement), ring (Forever21), watch (Vernier via Loehmann’s), shades ($37 Moschino via Loehmann’s)

I think every woman should own a pair of bright yellow pumps.  I mean, who doesn’t want to feel like they’re walking on sunshine?

When: Saturday, May 15th, 2010

Where: Movie Night: IronMan 2 in IMAX

What: Dress ($50 Walter via Century21), peep-toe booties ($45 Vince Camuto via Loehmann’s)

Oh beautiful dress… How do I love thee, let me count the ways:

1. With an original price of $268, you were more than 80% off
2. You were created by the beloved Walter Baker, one of my favorite designers
3. You’re made of 100% silk and feel so lovely against my skin
4. You have hidden pockets, which I adore

and lastly…

5. You make me feel oh so chic whenever I wear you with my peep-toe booties. And to think, I thought I couldn’t pull them off at first.  That was until I found you.
