Since a Texas Tuxedo is technically a denim top or jacket worn with jeans… I’ll just call this ensemble my Texas Prom Dress (no offense to any of you Texans out there).
Spring has been off to a slow start weather-wise, but the temps are finally starting to climb. In fact, I was able to leave the house without a jacket (or an umbrella) for the first time in weeks. In my excitement all I could think was “PINK!” and “BOWS!” while I was getting dressed in the morning… apparently sunshine turns me into a toddler. In any case, I just hope this beautiful weather lasts. And I also hope I don’t regress any further…
After all, “diapers” and “blankies” don’t really make for good fashion blog content.
I was pretty ecstatic when the folks over at GLOSSYBOX asked me to preview a sample box for their US launch. You can check out my latest video to get the full review, but I can tell you now that I absolutely love it. I currently subscribe to Birchbox, but I find GLOSSYBOX to be much better. The sample sizes are larger, and the quality and selection is much better, in my opinion. Although I will give Birchbox bonus points for only costing $10/month compared to $20/month for Glossybox.
Here’s a breakdown of the samples that were included in my box:
BASQ Cucumber Tea Eye Gel
OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips Nail Polish
C.O. Bigelow Lavender & Peppermint Body Lotion
Cargo EyeBronzer
Erno Laszlo Hollywood Collection Skin Cream
Kryolan High Floss Brilliant Lip Shine (Toffee)
I was particularly excited about the first 3 items as they were all things that I’d use regularly and came in full sizes. The other downside is that there’s currently a waiting list for the US boxes, but I will definitely keep you guys up-to-date on when it’s finally available, or you can check out http://glossybox.com to sign up for email alerts.
