Let’s talk over-the-knee boots…
I’ve always found them intriguing, but they can be a little risqué, no? In any case, I got this pair on the cheap from Forever 21 about 2 years ago just to test the waters. My frugality turned out to be a good decision since they haven’t gotten much play in my wardrobe. But over the past few weeks, I’ve suddenly found myself reaching for them more and more. I don’t know, perhaps I’m getting sassier with age. If this keeps up, I may wind up shelling out for a nicer pair (most likely with a lower heel). My personal preference is to wear OTK boots casually – with either skinny jeans or sleek riding pants and a cozy knit top or oversized sweater (they can also look surprisingly demure with midi-length skirts, as shown here).
If I do make the splurge, you guys will definitely be the first to know. In the mean time, here are a few beauties that I have my eye on…
Those boots are giving me liiiiifffeee
thanks! i’m really surprised at how much they’ve grown on me recently.
That Phillip Lim bag is gorgeous!
thanks. i got it on sale too which makes me love it even more! 🙂
the boots look AMAZING with pants the same color! i’ve been looking at some low-heel pairs to tone down the sass a little bit, but still get in on the fun!
