Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Macy’s first designer collaboration series. The place was a complete madhouse and jam-packed with reporters and photographers, but I still managed to have a good time and snap the following photos on my iPhone:
To channel a London street vibe, a full-size taxi and iconic red phone booth were there to greet shoppers as soon as they walked through the doors. You can’t quite see it, but the cab was decked out in LCD screens featuring a video spread of fashions from the collection. So cool!
Comprised mostly of flirty little dresses (like the ones shown above) that transition well from day into night, the lineup also includes versatile separates… namely one tough-meets-sophisticated leather moto number that I had my eye on all evening!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the brand (like I was), Aggugini is a former ghost designer for some of the world’s most notable luxury brands, including Versace, Calvin Klein, John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood. This particular collection conveys his self-described “Sid Vicious Meets Coco Chanel” aesthetic. And the best part? Everything is budget fashionista friendly, averaging from $40-$140 a pop!
i think the photos are really cool, even if they were taken on an iphone. i cant wait to check out that line!
Cool! I’ll definitely check it out next time I’m at Macy’s!
You should look online too because some of the pieces I wanted were already gone when I went back over the weekend. 🙁
