How to Wear Gingham {Without Looking Like a Picnic Table}

Ok, ok… so maybe I do look like a picnic table. I’m totally ok with that.

If you follow me on Instagram (which you should, because I post pretty pictures… and I don’t bite), then you’ll remember this dress from my live story in the Macy’s fitting room. I scored it for a whopping $28 – which is pretty impressive if I do say so myself. I enjoy the fact that it’s office-friendly, but still keeps me cool during these hot, sticky NYC summers. I know that most of my blogging brethren are on to fall fashion at this point, but I’m still happily in a summer state of mind. And as long as the temps keep hovering in the 80s and 90s, then I’ll keep on dressing accordingly. My sweaters and tights are still safely tucked away, and I’m in no hurry to unpack them for now. So bring on the gingham dresses – and matching sandals – and party on!
