{$249 Lanvin for H&M Dress, $35 H&M Reindeer Sweater, thrifted boots)
Hi Everyone!
It’s time for another edition of Fitting Room Confidentials! For those of you who missed the inaugural edition, this is when I hit the dressing room visiting vintage shops, thrift stores, discount retailers, high-end department stores and funky boutiques (and everything in between) posting my favorite, behind-the-scenes looks on my Facebook page.
My original plan was to get up bright and early on Saturday morning, head over to the Lanvin for H&M preview, grab up as much stuff as I could get my hands on and snap a bunch of pics for the blog.
Instead, I rolled out of bed way late, preceded to laze around the house for another few hours and finally dragged myself out for an early dinner with my husband. No Lanvin for me on Saturday.
I waltzed into the store on Sunday, expecting to snatch up a few pieces to try on and there were exactly TWO items left! That’s right, TWO! Luckily, they were approximately my size. So, I just paired them with a few other H&M pieces and called it a day.
After doing my research and trying on the pieces that were left, my final verdict is to save your money folks. This collection is just way too expensive for what you get. I didn’t see any noticeable difference in quality from H&M’s regular wares. If you’re just dying to get your hands on some Lanvin, do yourself a favor and save up for the real deal.
The good news is that, Lanvin aside, H&M currently has some great holiday pieces up for grabs. Click here to check it all out. I found a gorgeous skirt and the cutest sweater that I’m hoping will still be available once my shopping hiatus is over. I think it’ll be the perfect thing for sipping eggnog and trimming the tree next month.
