When: Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010
Where: Work
What: Top ($14 Forever 21), Skirt ($20 Gap), tights (Trina Turk for Hue via Century 21), ankle boots ($50 Vince Camuto via Loehmann’s), jacket ($60 Nine West via Century 21), scarf (street vendor), hat (JC Penney), gloves (UGG Australia)
I saw this shirt in Forever 21 and did a double-take. As you may or may not know, I have a penchant for magical creatures on my clothing as evidenced here and here.
I usually try to act all adult and sophisticated in my daily interactions, but occasionally I’ll see something that’s just so stinkin’ cute that I’m forced to embrace my inner-child.
And to top it all off, this shirt is made out of a super warm waffle-knit material that helped keep me nice and toasty all day long. I don’t want to take it off. And who knows, I may even sleep in it.

Oh I am seriously coveting that shirt! You have been killing it lately!!
Oh my God- I’m kind of unexpectedly in love with this outfit!! The skirt is right up my alley, but top isn’t something I’d be immediately attracted to. Seeing them together? I totally want to copy this outfit piece by piece. Love!!
Is this the black version of the pleated skirt you wore in the 30 for 30. I love your style..
Such a cute outfit. i love the unicorn top! i saw that recently and was so close to buying it. Wish I did, it looks great on you 🙂

Yes, it most certainly is!
I don’t normally go for tops like this either, but this print was just too good to pass up!
Thanks! 🙂
Gorgeous. I love the touch of whimsy– I think you did it in a really grownup way. Happy holidays, and stay warm!!!!!!

Seriously, you are making me wish it was colder here. That picture of you all bundled up is the best!
Thanks! You’re more than welcome to take away some of this cold weather we’re getting here in NYC.
May I have your sweater, please? Lol! Just kidding! But really, I love it!
I saw that thermal on F21’s website and was two seconds away from buying it, but I am TRYING not to shop for the rest of the month. TRYING is the key word…
Good luck with your shopping break! I’m toying with the idea of not shopping for 3 months. We’ll see…
