Well, between the shoes and the oppressive HEAT that day, I didn’t do much running. It was actually more like drippin’ and draggin’ around town!
No worries, I used the heat as an excuse to pop into a few stores along the way and window-shop. There’s nothing like a trying on a pair of cute shoes and a blast of AC to help fuel you on your journey when the temperature’s up… except maybe Jamba Juice.
Since my shoes, belt, and bag were so blingy, I decided to keep the jewelry to a minimum and just slipped on a pair of gold hoops. I also thought it was way too hot to have anything extra touching my skin. Which brings me to another realization… I really need to invest in a straw purse. I just about died having to carry that leather tote under my arm all day. I used to have a really cute one back in the day, but then I spilled hot candle wax on it and stained it (don’t ask).
I’ll let you chicas know as soon as I pick one out!
