When: Saturday, October 9th, 2010
Where: Hangin’ out
What: Turtleneck (Uniqlo), skirt ($21 Gap), socks (Betsey Johnson), ankle boots ($22 Forever 21), scarf ($10 street vendor), sunglasses ($40 Marc Jacobs via Nordstrom’s Rack)
I was super-excited to find this skirt on sale at the Gap. So excited in fact, that I bought another one in navy blue.
I have a terrible habit of buying things in multiples.
Unfortunately, I was less than thrilled with how this outfit came out. I love all of these pieces individually, but I’m a little ho-hum about how they work together.
No worries. It was a gorgeous day, and I had a fabulous time just hanging out and soaking up some rays. I definitely think the skirt has potential, so I’m going to spend some time this evening trying to make it work.
I’ll let you know how it goes.
In other news, I LOVE my new ankle boots (although perhaps not with this skirt again). I saw a similar pair at J. Crew, but thought they were too much of a splurge at the time. I decided to test drive these less expensive versions for a couple of weeks instead.
So far, so good.

it’s a simple look, but you look gorgeous. I’m loving black and electric blue, too.
I LOVE that skirt! I am heading to Gap’s online store right now to check out what else they have on offer 🙂
Yes, it’s really versatile. They also have it in grey and navy.
