When: Saturday, October 2nd, 2010
Where: Running errands + Lunch @ Bill’s Burger & Bar
What: Sweater dress ($45 Banana Republic), denim jacket (Forever 21), socks ($7 Ralph Lauren via Century 21), ankle boots ($40 Banana Republic), handbag (Tommy Hilfiger via Filene’s Basement)
Since I knew I’d be running all over town, I wanted to wear something stylish yet comfortable.
This dress definitely fit the bill as it’s made from the softest wool/cashmere blend and feels just like I’m wearing a cozy sweatshirt.
The shoes on the other hand, were an EPIC FAIL!
I bought them earlier this year at an end of season sale, and this was my first time wearing them. They seemed comfy enough when I first put them on, but I don’t know what on earth possessed me to try and break them in on a day when I had to do a lot of walking. You have no idea how much I wanted to take these things off by the time I got home.
Also, I know I mentioned a few posts ago that I wanted to try and eat healthier, but in my house Saturday = Burger Day! And I couldn’t resist trying the newly opened Bill’s Buger & Bar in Rockefeller Center. I think I made up for it with all of the walking I did.
Oh, and did I mention that I cooked dinner myself for the first time in weeks?!
Rosemary Chicken Breasts, Brown Butter and Balsamic Ravioli, Warm Spinach Salad with Pancetta and Sweet Vinaigrette—> YUM-O!

If it’s any consolation, those shoes look fantastic on you!
Thanks! That does help, actually. 😉
The dress and boots are cute. I have some BR shoes I need to stretch out because I refuse to give up on them. I also brought them at a Final Sale for dirt cheap.
Thanks. I haven’t given up on these yet either.
ooo! I love that dress & what a great price point.
Was it on sale?!
Indeed it was! I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for anything at Banana Republic. They have amazing sales!
I love your outfit! That dress is great. I also love that recipe (Rachel Ray, right?)! It’s sooooo good! I’ve made it a bunch of times and it always turns out well.
Thanks. And yes, this is a 30 Minute Meals recipe. I love that show, and a lot of the recipes are definitely keepers.
Those booties are adorable! Doesn’t it stink when about an hour after you leave the house you realize that apparently walking back and forth in your hallway doesn’t count as double checking for comfort? I must say however, with shoes this cute maybe you can make it work? These would look great with jeans, and than you can wear some thick wool socks to give you a bit more cushion. Maybe?

Oh yeah, I will certainly be wearing these again… just not when I have to do so much walking lol. Thicker socks just might do the trick.
