Wow! I’ve started and restarted this blog post about 3 times now. Don’t you just hate it when the words just refuse to flow? In my defense, I’m still adjusting after just about finishing up Day 1 of a 7-day fruit and vegetable detox program…
Ok, ok, I’ll admit that I’m sneaking in a little bit of brown rice because mama gets really cranky when she doesn’t get enough carbs in her diet. Yeah… I was tons of fun to be around during that whole Atkins craze a few years back.
In any case, after a few weeks of stress eating that culminated in this weekend’s gorge on burgers, fries, pizza, spiked milkshakes (naughty and delicious) and pie (apple and pecan, in case you were wondering) I was feeling kinda gross and lethargic. So, I’m getting back into a healthy state of mind. In addition to the detox, this will include more home-cooked meals, an earlier bed time, and regular workouts (especially yoga, which I miss dearly). Ahhh… I feel happier and less stressed already!
P.S.
I’ve linked this post up with Jewelscapes and No Model Lady!
that sweater is absolutely beautiful. All kinds of neutrals together in one sweater!
Another incredible pair of shoes! From Lohemann’s again. Drat!
Good luck on your detox, girl, and the exercise.
I love this sweater dress! Its sooo cute and I love the colors. I definately feel you on the regular workouts. I need to get better at that also!!!
Good luck. I’ve hit the gym twice already this week!
Great outfit…I love the way the colors in the dress pull together the brown shoes and grey tights! And boy do I remember Atkins…it was a dark time ; ) Good luck with the cleanse…sounds much more balanced!
Yes, the cleanse is MUCH better.
cute sweater dress!!! π
Cardigans and Cookie Dough
I just discovered your blog by mistake and I must say…. I LOVE it!!!! I love fashion so much and even did fashion marketing as a minor in college. But ever since I started working in the corporate world I have lost so much motivation to get dressed because I never can come up with work outfits. And it doesn’t help that I hate pants/suits so much:(( But you’ve given me so much inspiration that(i know i’m gonna sound corny but) I go back on your archive to see what I can wear for work like everyday!hehe
Hope you never stop blogging and thank you!
Lyn
You are such a beauty! good luck on the detox diet. I started one last week, and so quit the coffee (a 20 year addiciton) and lo and behold I seriously thought I was going to die. My head swelled into the biggest headache, and I got chills, no kidding. So I am back on the coffee and now am feeling pretty glum about it.
Sorry about the ramble. I a bit tired- must need coffee!
Thanks for visiting my blog by the way. Love meeting new people with style!
Im a total stripe lover….you had me at “hello”…lol…great outfit..love the shoes…you rocked this one!!!

I’m really digging stripes late too!
Me too…stripes and polka dots are my very favorite:)
Found you from WIWW – you have super cute outfits! Love love love! I TOTALLY hear you about the detox. I should do one to kick start myself back into healthy eating. Cute blog!
I really like the sweater, looks great!
Cute!
adorable. i love the shoes.
Oh I feel you on the gorging. I’m in the middle til Valentine’s Day (feeding myself with godiva!) Then I’m back on my health kick. I have to be at my goal weight by summer.
Your outfit is super cute too. Where the heck do you live though that you can be dressed like that with no coat on!! (i’m hating on you for that right now lol)
Mmmmm… a Godiva chocolate diet sounds divine right about now. Also, don’t let the pics fool you. It’s super cold in NYC right now. I was in a really sunny spot that particular day, so I was able to shed my coat and winter boots for a few minutes to snap these photos.
Thanks!
Merci!
Thanks for stopping by. The detox helps tremendously in curbing cravings and helping to jumpstart a healthy eating regimen.
I had a major headache the first day of my detox too, but luckily it went away. I’m not sure I would’ve made it if it hadn’t.
Awww… thanks. That’s really sweet. I went through a similar phase when I first started working, but then I decided to have more fun with my wardrobe. Good luck on finding a workplace style that you love!
I love that sweater dress. I need to make a point to pop into a Gap soon. After 30 for 30 of course. : )
ur smile makes ME smile. so pretty π
Awww… thanks! This comment made me smile. π
I’m constantly looking for a cute sweater dress but it’s been hard to find one that fits right and isn’t itchy (unless I want to spend $300 type thing). Your whole outfit really compliments you. Love it!
I love sweater dresses, but you’re right about it being difficult to find nice affordable ones. Rugby has some great options, and they typically wind up going on sale.
I love the sweater dress!
This is such a perfect combo of brown and grey. That sweater dress is so cute!

Great sweater-dress! I have a very similar sweater from gap…except it was much shorter….and was just light gray and white….which made me think if you just eliminated the dark gray and tan stripes from your sweater (plus the fabric to go along with it) …. you would have my sweater!
And then I realized I put that sweater in goodwill.
And also that I’ve probably been at work too long today.
Wait, what? Where did those pockets come from? They’re like ninja pockets. I like!
LOL @ ninja pockets! π
Lol, hope you get some rest! π
I love this sweater dress. The stripes are fun, and it has pockets. You can’t top that.
What a great sweater dress! It looks so cozy and warm! =)
I just found your blog(from Nappturality.com)I just want to say AMAZING style!!!Β
