Guys, in case you haven’t noticed…
I have a big head!
Yeah, I know it only looks like an inch or two (depending on the size of your computer screen), but it’s fairly large in person. Combine this with the fact that my hair has a tendency to grow out rather than down, and I often have trouble finding hats that are large enough to accommodate my dome. But I think I’ve finally found the solution in this adjustable knit headband.
Not only is it warm, but it also keeps my ponytail from getting smashed. Score! I will be snatching these up in multiple colors ASAP. Or even better, I could learn to knit them myself. Ooooh, I think I just gave myself the chills.
Sidebar, don’t I look super-devious (or drunk) in the photo above? I promise I wasn’t plotting anything sinister… nor did I have a 3-martini lunch break. Two’s just enough for me, thank you very much.
I’ve mentioned before that I’ wanted to finally try out tights with peep-toe shoes. So like any sensible young lady, I waited until the temps dropped below freezing to do so. Don’t worry, I switched into warm and toasty boots during my commute. See that? I am sensible after all.
And now for the burning question on everyone’s mind and the impetus for this post’s title:
How many brooches can Kendra cram into one outfit?
One? Two? Three?
Let’s try FOUR! One on my headband, and three on my shirt. As we all know, I do love a lady-like brooch pinned on my blouse. So this time around, I decided to go for the gold and just pile on a bunch. It was a little noisy, but I loved the extra touch of sparkle.
What do you think, should I go for 5 next time?
Oh, and by the way, it’s TUMBLR TUESDAY! So here’s your chance to recommend me in the fashion directory!

I just got one of those headbands as an early Christmas present and I LOVE IT! It’s pretty much the cutest, best thing ever. I definitely share in your love of the knitted head band. 🙂
They are the most awesome thing ever! I’m on the hunt for a pattern so I can start making my own.
I LOVE this look! The grays and turquoise are gorgeous! And I’m a sucker for pleated skirts…
Thanks! I love pleated skirts too. They make me feel in touch with my inner schoolgirl, lol.
I love the pops of teal in this outfit! You look fantastic!
GREY + BRIGHT BLUE = WIN!!
I love this outfit! Grey is one of my favourite colours and the pops of blue in the scarf and headband are just lovely!
So much to love about this outfit! If anyone can pile on multiple brooches and make them look completely naturally lovely, it’s YOU. Yay for the tights + peeptoes, yay for the color combo, yay for the knitwear too!!
Love that you winterizes those shoes with the warm tights. Cute, cute, cute. And chic.

I love the colors-varying grays and bright turquoise. I notice more of these colors popping up in my closet. And brooches. I have some from my grandma I can’t wait to wear….Thanks!
