When: Tuesday, February 8th, 2010
Where: Wouldn’t you like to know…
What: Dress (Banana Republic), blouse (Michael Kors via Bloomingdale’s), clutch (Forever 21), shoes (BCBG via Loehmann’s)
Never one to shy away from showing a little leg, I always feel uber-sexy whenever I wear this dress. But the big secret is that it’s just as soft and cozy as any of my t-shirts!
I don’t know about any of you ladies who are also remixing out there, but this time around the 30 for 30 challenge seems a lot less daunting. I really think it has a lot to do with the way I adjusted my shopping habits after the first time I participated.
Since then, I’ve really been trying to think of multiple ways I can wear an item when I purchase it. As soon as I buy something new, I immediately go home and try to style at least 3-5 outfits around it with items I already own. If I find that I can’t, then back it goes (this is the part where a good return policy is key!). I’ve also gone through my closet and purged soooooo many items that no longer suit my needs.
And by purge, I mean they’re out of my closet and safely nestled into shopping bags until I figure out what to do with them. I’m torn between having a blog sale, putting things up on ebay, or just taking them to Beacon’s Closet. Decisions, decisions…
Okay, I love a good animal print, but an animal print top that ties?! Wow. In awe. And I agree this challenge seems a bit easier. Maybe I’m more relaxed or like you shopping with a better eye.
This is a great look! I love that you paired these two pieces. This is my first time taking the 30for30 challenge and I am really struggling. Glad to know it gets better the second time around. And great tips on how to take the lessons learned during the 30for30 challenge and make them work when you’re shopping. Happy remixing! http://whatiworetiptotoe.blogspot.com
Happy remixing to you too!
love the leopard shirt and the cute little booties!!

I can’t speak for the 30 for 30 experience, but I did get totally sick of buying all these clothes and not having anything that could be mixed up into different outfits! Nowadays I only get excited about prospective purchases when I can think of several inspiring new ways to mix it up with my current wardrobe. If I can think of more than two then the item is a shoo in!
I’ve have purged my closet a few months ago and those bags full of clothes are still in my house!! Ugghhh, I can’t figure out what to do with them, probably eBay!
I love that blouse on you Kendra, so classy! And it works so well with the tights!
Sounds like we’re in the same boat! I love eBay, but it’s so time consuming to post things.
That is an AWESOME dress. I would wear it all the time–and it looks gorgeous with the silk top underneath. Love!
Thanks! I was eyeing it in the store for a while and was finally able to scoop it up on clearance last year.
Grey and leopard? I would never think of it but you look amazing… and SUPER thin! get it girlll.

Thanks, I love that this dress hugs me in all the right places! It’s actually more of an olive color, but I think grey and leopard would be pretty amazing too.
Isn’t it great when you have a piece that is both sexy AND comfortable? The animal print underneath just ups the hot factor! 🙂
This is super cute!
love the close up shot with the purse. Really cute. How is 30 for 30 working out for you so far? Not sure if I could do it! Hmmmm….
These boots are awsome! And the animal print is always sexy, but this one looks confy too.
This is an amazing blouse, you can wear it so many ways! Love it!
So far, so good! You should definitely give it a try.
AHHH!!! More animal print!! You nail every single time!! Love it!
