Taking outfit photos during this time of the year is proving to be a bit of a challenge. My *photographer* is up and out of the house before I’m even awake, and by the time I get home from work it’s pitch black outside.
I live in a green building, which means incredible sunlight during the day from my floor-to-ceiling windows, but ZERO overhead lights in my apartment (aside from the kitchen and bathroom). The flourescent lighting in the hallways and common areas haven’t exactly yielded spectacular results either. I couldn’t even share the pics from my birthday outfit on Monday with you guys 🙁
I’m considering purchasing a tripod (need to do that anyway) and taking photos of myself during my lunch break. But I’m a little nervous that this will open up a can of worms with my co-workers who may think I’m a narcissistic freak who takes photos of herself everyday. Or perhaps I’m just worrying to much and they already think that about me since I do indeed take photos of myself everyday.
Hmmm… something to chew on.
In any case, my week of all things leopard is wrapping up nicely. I think these tights are my favorite since they can take an otherwise pretty tame outfit and turn it into something a little more daring.
I worked with a girl a few years back who had a pair, and I have to say I was startled when I first saw them. I only caught a glance of her legs out of the corner of my eye, and I thought she had developed some terrible skin disease. Then I took a closer look and thought they were the coolest thing ever. Unfortunately, she wasn’t really known for being a team player and I never found out where she got them.
Ok, enough ramblings for now. Excuse me while I go rock out to Janet (or Miss Jackson, if you’re nasty).

Purchasing a tripod changed my blogging completely! It feels weird at first, but it’s nice to have more control over what the images look like. I still tend to take my tripod pictures in more secluded places, but there are some bloggers I’ve seen who set theirs up right in busy streets. Now those ladies have some sass! ( Those tights are amazing btw)
Thanks for the note. I’m going to get one asap. It’s hard to find any secluded spots in NYC (aside from dark alleys, lol) so I guess I’ll have to muster up some extra sass 😉
Loving that dress, scarf, tights, all of it. Love the all black!

Yeah, I got hooked on tube scarves last year and bought several. They’re great because you can wear them as hoods too. Love ’em!
cute and more cute.
I love this dress – so cute!
Adore adorrrrre the whole ensemble, but those tights! So fab! And I used you for inspiration for my outfit today! Also, have you played around with the light settings on your camera? Your Nikon DSLR should be able to negotiate the crappy fluorescent lights with a little (okay, it will probably be a lot) of adjustments to the settings.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’m still trying to play around with my new camera and figure it out, so I will definitely try tweaking the settings to get some decent shots indoors.
AWESOME leggings. Didn’t notice at first…they’re great!
I love this!! Your tights are amazing – and you are so pretty!
Aww… thanks! 🙂
