Gone Fishin’

I’m just getting back from an awesome, jam-packed trip to Detroit and Chicago for a family reunion/mini-vacation. Above are a few silly pics I took during a family dinner cruise. I’m still digging through mounds of email and catching up on things at work, but stay tuned for a travel recap!

My husband teases me for having so many white dresses, but they really are my favorite thing to wear in the summer.  They really are such a great blank canvas and a snap to accessorize (or not) for different looks.  You can check out some other ways I’ve worn white dresses on the blog here: 1, 2, 3, 4.

{Zara Dress (same dress in a different fabric here),  Fendi FS5141 Sunglasses via Nordstrom’s Rack, Vintage/Thrifted Coach Purse (updated version), Vintage Necklace via eBay (similar), Moschino Cheap & Chic Sandals via Daffy’s}

I wore this outfit for a late brunch on Sunday at one of my old standbys, Rue 57.  As soon as I saw this dress, I was immediately drawn to the bold, tropical print.  It finally went on sale, and the rest is history.  I love statement dresses like this that only require minimal accessories.  They’re simply perfect for days when you don’t have time (or the desire) to fuss around, but  still want to look good.

P.S.
If you live near a Daffy’s, they have an amazing selection of designer shoes in now.  I copped these Moschino sandals for $70, and I spotted an awesome pair of Tabitha Simmons ankle boots, not to mention Lanvin, Jimmy Choo, and YSL!
