True story: I worked from home last week and wore my jammies and a robe the entire time… THE. ENTIRE. TIME.  Ok, I did get dressed to go out and forage for food a few times, but still…

I’m happy to report that I’m back in the groove of things now, and I’m ready to put on heels again.  I find that following my normal routine and actually taking the time to get dressed in my work clothes in the morning makes me feel a lot more productive.  Also, I don’t have to feel weird about doing conference calls in my snuggie!

Hey gang!

I’ve been cooped up inside since the hurricane hit (snuggled up in my fluffy robe mostly), but here’s a pic of one of my ensembles from last week.  We were some of the lucky ones in the city who didn’t lose power at home.  Unfortunately, my office building sustained major flood damage, so I’m stuck working from home for the next week or so.

Nothing like an old standby (i.e. basic black skirt + crew neck sweater) to get you through the last stretch of a hectic work week.  My favorite part about this outfit is the darling little sweater.  It’s the dreamiest pale pink, comes with a detachable Peter Pan collar, and only set me back about $15.  I just may have to score it in another color!

Also noteworthy in the above pics is my much-treasured copy of The Gentlewoman.  I’m a die-hard fan of Murder She Wrote, so when I learned that Angela Lansbury was to be featured in the latest issue, I scoured the streets of NYC for a copy.  By sheer dumb luck, I found one at a random men’s store that Eric dragged me too.  If you can get your hands on a copy, it’s a highly recommended read.
