Like any New Yorker, brunch is a meal that I take very seriously. While I do enjoy venturing out to discover new places, over there years there remain a handful of trusted spots that I return to again and again… and again, lol! Landmarc definitely falls into the latter category. Way back when Eric and I first got married and lived in Washington Heights, we’d zip down to midtown nearly every Saturday morning for a plateful of Landmarc’s pancakes or pain perdu (the most delectable, gravity-defying french toast you’ve ever experienced). And while the food is absolutely delicious, the part I always look forward to the most are the amazing house-made caramels that the server brings with your check. They also have free cotton candy for kids… buuuuutttt rumor has it that adults can get in on the action too if they ask really, really nicely!
If you ever visit, be sure to try and snag a seat by the window overlooking Central Park. In addition to brunch fare, they also make a pretty tasty burger and french onion soup (or try the daily pasta special or a nice pot of mussels)… and if you’re really partying it up, get one of each on the dessert menu, and thank me later!
