I’m still getting my feet wet with this whole fashion blog scene, so I was feeling a little pressure when I chose my outfit for this event. In general, I have no problems picking out an outfit for myself. But knowing that you’re going to be in a room full of stylish ladies somehow turns the heat up a notch. Monday was no different, and I almost had a mini-panic attack when I couldn’t decide what to wear…
Then I gave myself a mental slap and remembered that I’m an avid practitioner of the girl scout motto: BE PREPARED! Because I hate the feeling of having nothing to wear, I pretty much always keep a knockout dress or two waiting in the wings for occasions such as these. I almost forgot about this one that I Scored! earlier this summer.
Fashion crisis averted, and I didn’t have to worry about someone else showing up in the same dress.
What about you guys? Do you ever experience wardrobe freakout before big (or not so big) events? If so, what’s your coping strategy?
P.S.
Special shout-out to the wonderful bloggers I met on Monday: Rachel, Alissa, Jordan, and Tiffany!
I love this dress! You look fabulous!
Perfect outfit for a blogger event…. you look so put together and polished and the white dress is beautiful!
I always freak out if it takes me longer than about ten minutes to decide what to wear and then it usually includes at least two costume changes!!
Thanks! I think this dress is becoming one of my favorites. Also only two costume changes before an event is pretty good in my book, lol!
