Because no outfit is complete without it’s accompanying fragrance, I decided to give you guys a little peak into my current perfume rotation. I know some people say it’s best to have one signature scent, but I like to switch things up depending upon the occasion and my mood. I’ll also let you guys know that I sometimes have allergic reactions to certain scents (nothing serious, just a few sniffles and a slight headache), but everything in my collection is up-to-snuff, so to speak. Here’s the rundown:
Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie, a super-sweet fragrance that may be cloying to some. I like to keep this one in my gym bag and spray it on after I get out of the locker room shower. It also has great staying power and lasts all day long.
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, a light, refreshing scent that’s perfect for daytime. This was one of my first “grown-up” perfumes. I really like wearing this one in the summertime. The only downside is that everyone seems to wear it, and the scent is highly recognizable. A hairdresser once identified it on me immediately. I prefer to be a little more mysterious.
Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, a dark, musky, almost manly (in the sexiest possible way) scent. I generally save this one for the evenings. The top notes took me a while to get used to, and I didn’t like it when I first tried it on in the store. However, I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist after 15 minutes and ran back to get it from the duty free shop before boarding my flight!
, a calm, relaxing, unisex scent. This one is my current favorite! I love it for just about any occasion, and I’ve been wearing it non-stop ever since I purchased it last week. I sprung for the Extreme version which lasts longer, and the scent lingers until bedtime. Normally, scents at nighttime are a no-no for my sensitive nose, but the green tea is perfectly relaxing.
Lolita Lempicka, a feminine, verdant, vanilla scent. Another one of my daytime favorites, I love wearing this one on the weekends or on dates because it makes me feel girly and flirty. Sadly, this one doesn’t have a lot of staying power. But a trick I use is to saturate a cotton ball with the scent and tuck it into my bra. Try it, it really works!
Calvin Klein Beauty, a warm, sophisticated, floral scent. I’m not sure why, but I typically only wear this one to work. Maybe it’s because the fragrance isn’t too overpowering. It’s very feminine without being girly.
Thierry Mugler Womanity, a unique, fruity (but not overly sweet) scent, almost like champagne. The jury is actually still out on this one. I received it in a gift bag a while back, and have only worn it a handful of times.
*Anna Sui Dreams, a soft, citrusy, vanilla scent. It’s not pictured here (I ran out, and I think it’s discontinued), but I absolutely love this fragrance. It gives me the same feeling as my Lolita Lempicka, but the effect is more subtle. I’m on the hunt now to stock up online.
And there you have it folks! What scents do you ladies like to wear when trying to evoke a certain mood?
The Jasmin Noir sounds amazing. And the bottle looks gorgeous. Jealousss.
Happpy Vday!

I have different scents for different moods and scenarios, too. Versace Red Jeans for when I’m feeling sassy, Ghost Deep Night for my more mysterious evenings, and Chloe Narcisse for everyday wear. I actually have a lot more fragrances – those are just the big 3. I loved seeing your fragrance “wardrobe” since fragrance seems so personal – even more unique than clothing.

I use Chloe at the start of spring, it makes me feel lighthearted, feminine and romantic. During the winter I use Artisan Parfumeur Bois Farine, which is more woody and makes me feel cozy and understated….and the scent reminds me of pencil shavings, like a childhood memory.
I love your picks. But you know what I really love? Announcing that you are my giveaway winner!!!
Oooh… the pencil shavings scent sounds interesting. Also, I’m really excited about winning your giveaway. Can’t wait to receive my scarflace!
I usually don’t wear perfumes , I prefer to wear scented lotions for my everyday, and wear perfume when I’m getting fancy….LOL. I like perfumes, but I’ve only really LOVED 3 in my life. The first one Michael Kor’s. I found out later what I really loved was the fragrance of Tuberroses, I know it may seem corny for those that live in NYC, but I LOVE Bond no. 9 fragrances. On my dresser now is Nuits de Noho, and soon to be on my dresser is New Haarlem
Ooooh no! Sui Dreams is the only perfume I can wear without my sinuses trying to expand to Jupiter. I hope you find something similar and as subtle and post about it because my nose can’t take trying to find one myself.
I know. I was pretty bummed when I found out it was discontinued.
