It seems like I’m on a roll this week with my nautical-themed outfits!  This is yet another another frock that brings back vacation memories as I bought it for my trip to Quebec City last summer.  I had been pining away for a Lilly Pulitzer dress but couldn’t justify the steep price tag since we were saving up our pennies for vacation.  Luckily, the fashion gods smiled upon me, and I happened upon a Lilly Pulitzer flash sale on RueLaLa.  I wound up scoring two dresses for under $100!

Speaking of bargains… I scooped my fancy new kicks on a thrifting excursion last weekend (you can check out my favorite NYC thrift store haunts here).  Can you believe these gorgeous Ann Taylor espadrilles were only $20, brand-new with tags?! I’m still pretty geeked over them and can’t wait to wear them all over the place this summer.

I bought this nautical print dress specifically for a cruise last summer, and I’ve enjoyed wearing it ever since. I usually reserve it for festive occasions, like the 4th of July.  But I was feeling a little playful last week and wore it just ‘cuz. After all, there’s never a good reason to let a cute dress go to waste!

While I absolutely LOVE 3-day weekends, it’s SO HARD to get back into the swing of things afterwards! This week has been a loooooong one indeed, but I’m still keeping a smile on my face.  Fancy shoes and a new pair of shades always tend to help in that department.

Speaking of which… what do you guys think about my new peepers?! This is a new shape for me as I usually stick to rounder frames. But I thought I’d try something new when the generous folks over at SmartBuyGlasses offered me the chance to check out their online shop. Cat-eye glasses are generally a no-no for me, but I think this particular pair works with my face since they aren’t too severe.

In other news, I have absolutely ZERO plans this weekend, and I can’t say I’m too upset about it.  I’m looking forward to taking it easy and catching up on some reading. What’s on your agenda?
