Just a few last pics from my southern adventure…

We took these shots during a late afternoon stroll along the riverfront.  Now some folks may prefer to do their sightseeing in shorts and tennis shoes, but I’ll take a cute dress and sandals any day!  I tossed this little cardigan in my bag as an afterthought, but I wound up really digging the super-hero color combo.  It kinda reminds me of a pair of supergirl pajamas I had as a kid (minus the detachable cape).

While I had a wonderful time in good ol’ Pensacola, I am officially in love with New Orleans and all of its gluttonous pleasures.  I got tons of restaurant recommendations from friends and co-workers before I left, and I seriously think we fit an entire week’s worth of eating into a short 3-day stint.  Since my husband and I have both pretty much outgrown the Bourbon Street bar-hopping scene, we decided to explore the more romantic side of N’awlins: moonlit horse and carriage rides, stargazing along the riverfront,  and dinners by candlelight.

Actually staying overnight in one of the city’s many haunted hotels was a little bit more than we could stomach, but we did muster up enough courage to walk by and snap pics… from the outside… in broad daylight!  Eric also refused to step foot inside of a voodoo shop, so those spicy chips you see above are about as close as I got.
